Since the begginning of the project, CIMPA partners have been introducing CIMPA project, its objectives and expected impacts at relevants events and fairs such as pollutec in France and ecomondo in Italy.

Cluster meeting on projects contributing to EU Plastics Strategy – a great initiative to promote clustering and maximise synergies among EU H2020 projects

On 30th September, Céline Chevallier presented CIMPA during the “Cluster meeting on projects contributing to EU Plastics Strategy”, organised by the European Research Executive Agency (REA).

Eleven H2020 R&I projects which were kick started in the spring of 2021, were invited to present their objectives, activities and expected impacts in different areas including improving the sorting, separation and recycling of multi-layers materials, understanding plastics in the environment, monitoring plastics pollution and tacking plastics in agriculture.

Online webinar at eREC: “CIMPA: Towards a Circular Economy in which plastic films never go to waste

Emmanuel Katrakis and Maria Vera from EuRIC introduced CIMPA at the Digital Recycling Expo and Conference for Circular Economy and Waste Management on 8 October 2021.

The Recycling Expo and Conference “eREC” is a virtual platform for the recycling industry that facilitates the national and international exchange between companies and customers. In the webinar, they explained how CIMPA will develop the first recycling value chain for post-industrial and post-consumer multilayer films through cutting-edge technology. Discussing at Pollutec how CIMPA can bring practical solutions to recycle multilayer plastic films from food packaging & agriculture

IPC, EuRIC, PAPREC and ADIVALOR participated in a panel discussion on multilayer plastic recycling at Pollutec on 12 October 2021, which took place in Lyon, France.

Pollutec is the reference international event for environmental and energy solutions for industries, cities and territories.

The conference entitled “CIMPA: A European project to meet the challenge of recycling multilayer plastic films” was a success with a great public attendance and a very interesting Q&A session.

CIMPA at ecomondo – the annual trade fair for the green and circular economy in Italy

CIMPA project and its innovative solutions were presented at the EuRIC’s stand during ecomondo, in Rimini (Italy).

Ecomondo is the benchmark event in Europe for technological and industrial innovation. An international event with an innovative format that brings together all sectors of the circular economy on a single platform: from the recovery of materials to sustainable development.

During the four-day event, CIMPA was introduced to a great number of visitors, from students to recyclers. More than 1,080 brands were exhibiting throughout the Expo Centre and around 500 hours of conferences and seminars took place this time in Rimini.
